COOLING FAN COMPONENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Purpose, Function

  • The cooling fan rotates according to vehicle conditions and enhances the cooling efficiency of the radiator.

  • The flaps improve cooling efficiency from the medium to high speed range.

Structural View

  • The cooling fan component is located on the rear of the radiator.

  • The cooling fan component consists of the following parts:

  • Flaps have been adopted to the radiator cowling to improve cooling efficiency from the medium to high speed range.

    The flaps start to open by wind pressure when the vehicle speed exceeds approx. 50 km/h {31 mph}. The medium to high speed range cooling performance is improved by sending efficient cool air flow to the rear of the radiator.

Operation
