FUEL PUMP UNIT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Purpose, Function

  • The fuel pump unit supplies fuel in the fuel tank to the high pressure fuel pump.

  • Based on the control signal from the PCM, power is supplied to the fuel pump and operates by driving the fuel pump relay.

Construction

  • The fuel pump unit is located inside the fuel tank.

  • The fuel pump unit consists of a fuel pump, fuel filter (low-pressure) fuel filter (high-pressure), pressure regulator, and reserve cup.

Operation

  • The fuel pump is supplied power from the PCM control and suctions the fuel in the reserve cup. Fuel is filtered through the fuel filter (low-pressure) and fuel filter (high-pressure). After filtering, fuel pressure is adjusted by the pressure regulator and pumped to the high pressure fuel pump.

  • Function not equipped.
