BAROMETRIC PRESSURE (BARO) SENSOR [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Purpose

  • Detects the barometric pressure as basic information for mainly determining the fuel injection amount.

Function

  • Barometric pressure is detected by the PCM internally.

    BARO sensor characteristic

Construction

  • The BARO sensor is integrated with the PCM.

  • A piezoelectric element has been adopted for the detection part of the BARO sensor.

  • A piezoelectric element produces voltage by the application of vibration or pressure. It detects barometric pressure as voltage using this character.

Operation

  • The BARO sensor outputs the voltage value according to the barometric pressure and the barometric pressure is detected by the PCM internally.

Fail-safe

DTC No.
