ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION [TCM (SJ6A-EL)]

Purpose/Function

  • If a transmission malfunction is detected by the malfunction detection function, the fail-safe function limits the transmission control.

  • Even if the transmission has a malfunction, the fail-safe function assures the minimum vehicle driveability.

  • Inhibits the neutral control.
