A/C COMPRESSOR
Purpose
The A/C compressor circulates the gaseous refrigerant in the refrigeration cycle.
Functions
The A/C compressor intakes gaseous refrigerant by the rotor rotation and discharges the compressed gaseous refrigerant.
Construction
Operation
When the rotor rotates, the oblong-shaped rotor vanes expand along the inner circumference of the cylinder sealing the air in the cylinder and rotor space to produce a compression effect whereby intake of gaseous refrigerant, compression and discharge is performed.
For the magnetic clutch operation, refer to the [REFRIGERANT SYSTEM]. (See REFRIGERANT SYSTEM.)
