DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHT (DRL)

Purpose

  • The daytime running light (DRL) alerts on-coming vehicles and pedestrians that the vehicle is traveling.

Functions

  • When the daytime running light (DRL) operation conditions are met, the BCM sends the daytime running light (DRL) on request signal to the electrical supply unit (ESU) and the electrical supply unit (ESU) turns the daytime running light (DRL) on.

Construction

  • The daytime running light (DRL) is located on the front bumper.

  • A bulb type or LED type is available for the daytime running light (DRL).
