Operation

  • When the turn switch is moved to the LH or RH position with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on), the start stop unit detects (1) a turn switch LH or RH signal.

  • The start stop unit sends (2) the turn switch LH or RH signal to the BCM via CAN communication as a turn light LH or RH signal.

  • When the BCM receives the turn light LH or RH signal, it flashes (3) the turn light (LH) or (RH).

  • When the BCM receives the turn light LH or RH signal from the start stop unit for less than 0.7 s, it flashes the turn light (LH) or (RH) three times automatically.

  • When the BCM receives a turn light signal for the opposite side while the turn light (RH) or (LH) is flashing three times automatically, it cancels the current automatic flashing. However, when the BCM receives the turn light signal for the opposite side for 0.2 s or more, it flashes the turn light while the turn light signal is being received.
