LDWS SWITCH

Purpose

  • The driver can optionally choose to switch the lane departure warning system (LDWS) to operational or non-operational.

Functions

  • The LDWS switch sends a switch operation signal to the instrument cluster.

Construction

  • The LDWS switch is built into the cluster switch.

Operation

  • When the LDWS switch is operated, the LDWS switch operation signal is sent (1) to the instrument cluster.

  • Based on the switch operation signal (detected voltage value), the instrument cluster sends (2) the LDWS switch operation signal to the forward sensing camera (FSC) via CAN communication.

  • When the forward sensing camera (FSC) receives the LDWS switch operation signal from the instrument cluster, it switches (3) the lane departure warning system (LDWS) to operational or non-operational.
