DTC: 30:Er07 [AUDIO UNIT]

Description

CD player data read error

Detection condition

  • CD player read error detected.

Fail-safe

Not applicable

Possible cause

  • Disc malfunction or malfunction due to customer use method

    • CD insertion direction mistaken

    • CD scratching or soiling

    • Incompatible CD used

  • CD player malfunction

VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING LOCATION IS DISC
  • After obtaining the customer's consent, insert a disc that was not used when the malfunction occurred into the CD player.

  • Does the disc play normally?

Yes

System is normal. (Explain to the customer that there is a malfunction in the disc or malfunction due to the customer use method.)

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
  • Clear the DTC for the CD player.

    (See CLEARING DTC [AUDIO UNIT].)

  • Perform a CD inspection using the diagnostic assist function.

    (See DIAGNOSTIC ASSIST FUNCTION [AUDIO UNIT].)

  • Perform the DTC inspection for CD player.

    (See DTC INSPECTION [AUDIO UNIT].)

  • Is the same DTC displayed?

Yes

Replace the CD player, then go to the next step.

(See CD PLAYER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

(See DTC TABLE [AUDIO UNIT].)

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
