FORWARD SENSING CAMERA (FSC) CLIP REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

NOTE:

  • The forward sensing camera (FSC) clips include clips A and B.

FSC clip A

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the sensor cover. (See SENSOR COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the forward sensing camera (FSC). (See FORWARD SENSING CAMERA (FSC) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the gap between the base and FSC clip A.

5. Move the flathead screwdriver in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and rotate FSC clip A.
6. In addition, rotate FSC clip A, detach the base pin and FSC clip A, and then remove FSC clip A.

7. Install in the reverse order of removal.
8. If the FSC clip is replaced, perform the FSC aiming. (See FORWARD SENSING CAMERA (FSC) AIMING.)

CAUTION:

  • If FSC aiming is not performed after replacing the FSC, the related systems controlled by the FSC will not operate because the FSC cannot store the camera shot angle. If the FSC is replaced, perform the FSC aiming.

FSC clip B

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the sensor cover. (See SENSOR COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the forward sensing camera (FSC). (See FORWARD SENSING CAMERA (FSC) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the gap between the base and FSC clip B.

5. Move the flathead screwdriver in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach base pin A and FSC clip B.
6. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the gap between the base and FSC clip B.

7. Move the flathead screwdriver in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach base pin B and FSC clip B.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
9. If the FSC clip is replaced, perform the FSC aiming. (See FORWARD SENSING CAMERA (FSC) AIMING.)

CAUTION:

  • If FSC aiming is not performed after replacing the FSC, the related systems controlled by the FSC will not operate because the FSC cannot store the camera shot angle. If the FSC is replaced, perform the FSC aiming.
