DTC U0001:88/U0100:00/U0101:00/U0121:00/U0151:00/U0155:00/U0214:00/U023A:00 [BCM]

Description

  • U0001:88

    • Module communication error (HS-CAN)

  • U0100:00

    • Communication error with PCM

  • U0101:00

    • Communication error with TCM

  • U0121:00

    • Communication error with DSC HU/CM

  • U0151:00

    • Communication error with SAS control module

  • U0155:00

    • Communication error with instrument cluster

  • U0214:00

    • Communication error with start stop unit

  • U023A:00

    • Communication error with forward sensing camera (FSC)

Detection condition

  • U0001:88

    • BCM detects the CAN bus communication line (HS-CAN) malfunction 10 times continuously with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U0100:00

    • BCM could not receive the CAN signal from the PCM for 5 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U0101:00

    • BCM could not receive the CAN signal from the TCM for 5 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U0121:00

    • BCM could not receive the CAN signal from the DSC HU/CM for 5 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U0151:00

    • BCM could not receive the CAN signal from the SAS control module for 5 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U0155:00

    • BCM could not receive the CAN signal from the instrument cluster for 5 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U0214:00

    • BCM could not receive the CAN signal from the start stop unit for 5 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

  • U023A:00

    • BCM could not receive the CAN signal from the forward sensing camera (FSC) for 5 s or more with the ignition switched ON (engine off or on).

Fail-safe

  • U0001:88

    • Exterior lighting system
    • Turn the TNS (parking lights) and headlights LO on, and turn off other exterior light controls.

      Auto light system
    • Continue the controls prior to the auto light malfunction detection.

      Interior light control system
    • Continue the controls prior to the interior light malfunction detection for 5 s and turn the light on using the initial value after 5 s have elapsed.

      Wiper system
    • Continue the controls prior to the wiper malfunction detection.

      Washer system
    • Stop the washer control.

      Auto wiper system
    • Continue the controls prior to the wiper malfunction detection.

      Blower system
    • BCM power supply condition is on: Turn the blower relay on.

    • BCM power supply condition is off: Turn the blower relay off.

  • U0100:00

    • Auto light system
    • Continue the controls prior to the auto light malfunction detection.

      Auto wiper system
    • Continue the controls prior to the wiper malfunction detection.

  • U0101:00

    • Not applicable

  • U0121:00

    • Not applicable

  • U0151:00

    • Not applicable

  • U0155:00

    • Interior light control system
    • Continue the controls prior to the interior light malfunction detection for 5 s and turn the light on using the initial value after 5 s have elapsed.

      Blower system
    • BCM power supply condition is on: Turn the blower relay on.

    • BCM power supply condition is off: Turn the blower relay off.

  • U0214:00

    • Exterior lighting system
    • Turn the TNS (parking lights) and headlights LO on, and turn off other exterior light controls.

      Auto light system
    • Continue the controls prior to the auto light malfunction detection.

      Wiper system
    • Continue the controls prior to the wiper malfunction detection.

      Washer system
    • Stop the washer control.

      Auto wiper system
    • Continue the controls prior to the wiper malfunction detection.

  • U023A:00

    • Not applicable

Possible cause

  • Malfunction in CAN bus communication line

  • Malfunction in CAN line between PCM and BCM

  • Malfunction in CAN line between TCM and BCM

  • Malfunction in CAN line between DSC HU/CM and BCM

  • Malfunction in CAN line between SAS control module and BCM

  • Malfunction in CAN line between instrument cluster and BCM

  • Malfunction in CAN line between start stop unit and BCM

  • Malfunction in CAN line between forward sensing camera (FSC) and BCM

  • Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See FOREWORD.)
