DTC B1D19:98 [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT]

Description	Abnormal CD player temperature
Detection condition	With the ignition switched ON (engine off or on), the connectivity master unit (CMU) detects an abnormally high temperature condition in the CD player.
Fail-safe	CD playback stopped.
Possible cause	CAUTION: If the CD player is used for long periods in a hot environment, the temperature of the CD player will increase and a DTC may be output. The CD player should not be used continuously for long periods with the cabin under high temperature conditions from being left under direct sunlight. Temperature increase due to continuous use for long periods. CD player malfunction

Diagnostic Procedure

Step	Inspection		Action
1	VERIFY IF CD PLAYER TEMPERATURE WAS TEMPORARILY HIGH Leave the vehicle in a cool location for 30 min or more Clear the DTC for the connectivity master unit (CMU) using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT].) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 7 s or more. Retrieve the connectivity master unit (CMU) DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT].) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Go to the next step.
		No	Go to Step 3.
2	VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED Clear the DTC for the connectivity master unit (CMU) using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT].) Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on) and wait for 7 s or more. Retrieve the connectivity master unit (CMU) DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT].) Is the same DTC displayed?	Yes	Replace the CD player, then go to the next step. (See CD PLAYER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
		No	Go to the next step.
3	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [CONNECTIVITY MASTER UNIT].)
		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
