FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. To prevent scratches or damage, apply protective tape to the positions shown in the figure.

3. Remove the fasteners.

4. Remove the screws and fasteners.

5. Partially peel back front mudguard No.2 and remove the screws.

6. Remove the screws.

7. Remove the screws and fasteners.

CAUTION:

  • Carefully remove the front bumper from the front bumper slider. If the front bumper is removed from the front bumper slider with excessive force, the front bumper hooks may be damaged because the front bumper and the front bumper slider are engaged firmly.

  • Detach the front bumper hooks from the front bumper slider using two people, one person supports the front bumper. If the front bumper hooks are detached from the front bumper without supporting the front bumper, it may fall off and be damaged.

8. Pull the front bumper in the direction of the arrows in the order shown in the figure, and detach the front bumper hooks from the front bumper slider.

9. Disconnect the connectors.

10. Remove the wiring harness clips.
11. Remove the front bumper.
