DOOR GLASS ADJUSTMENT

Adjusting Door Glass Upward/downward

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the door trim. (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Loosen the stopper installation bolts and adjust the stopper position.

4. Tighten the stopper installation bolts.
5. Install the door trim. (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

Adjusting Door Glass Inward/outward

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the door trim. (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

CAUTION:

  • If the adjusting bolt is rotated with the nuts removed, the adjusting bolts could be damaged. When adjusting the door glass, do not remove the nuts and perform the procedure with the nuts loosened.

3. Loosen the nuts.

4. Rotate the adjusting bolts using a hexagonal wrench and adjust the tilt of the door glass.

5. Tighten the nuts.

6. Install the door trim. (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7. Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
8. Close the convertible top and secure the top lock.
9. Close the door.
10. Operate the power window main switch or power window subswitch and verify that the door glass moves up/down smoothly.
  • If the door glass does not move up/down smoothly, repeat the procedure from Step 1.
