QUICK RELEASE (FUEL SYSTEM) CONNECTOR [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Purpose, Function

  • Serviceability has been improved by easy disconnection/connection of quick release connector.

Construction

  • Quick release connectors are installed at the following locations.

  • An SST is not used with this type of quick release connector.

  • Consists of a retainer and O-ring.

  • The quick release connector is integrated with the fuel hose and therefore cannot be disassembled.

  • The hose does not pull out because the retainer tabs become caught against the ring projection of the fuel pipe.

  • When removing the fuel hose, remove the retainer using a flathead screwdriver as shown in the figure.
