NON-RETURN VALVE [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Purpose, Function

  • The non-return valve provides improved safety by preventing fuel from returning to the fuel filler opening.

Construction

  • The non-return valve is located on the fuel tank.

    U.S.A. and CANADA specs.

    Except U.S.A. and CANADA specs.

  • A single valve type has been adopted for the non-return valve.

    U.S.A. and CANADA specs.

    Except U.S.A. and CANADA specs.

Operation

  • Normally, the valve is closed as shown by the dotted outline of the value in the figure. When refueling, it opens as shown by the solid outline due to the force caused by the flow of fuel. When refueling is finished, the valve returns to the normal valve position by spring force.
