DRIVE SELECTION SWITCH [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Purpose

  • The drive selection switch performs the drive selection switching operation.

Function

  • Detects a drive selection (standard mode/sport mode) switching operation and sends it to the PCM and TCM through the instrument cluster as a drive selection signal.

Construction

  • The drive selection switch is located on the shift panel.

  • A toggle-type switch has been adopted for the drive selection switch.

  • The switch (SW1, SW2) being pressed is determined by combining the resistances of different resistance values.

Operation

1. When the drive selection switch is pressed to the [SPORT] side (front side), contact point SW1 of the drive selection switch closes (1), and contact point SW2 closes (2) when the switch is pressed to the [–] side (rear side).
2. The instrument cluster detects the sport mode selection condition (3) based on the open/close of contact points SW1 and SW2 of the drive selection switch.
