ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM MALFUNCTION INDICATION FUNCTION [TCM (SJ6A-EL)]

Purpose/Function

  • The on-board diagnostic system malfunction indication function notifies the driver of a transmission malfunction.

  • The malfunction indication function notifies the driver of a transmission malfunction by illuminating the check engine light and automatic transmission warning light.

Construction/Operation

  • The check engine light and automatic transmission warning light are equipped in the instrument cluster.

  • For vehicles with center display, a warning message in the center display is displayed when check engine light and automatic transmission warning light are Illuminated. For the message content and verification method, refer to the CENTER DISPLAY. (See CENTER DISPLAY [WITH CENTER DISPLAY].)
