AUTO-DIMMING REARVIEW MIRROR/AUTO-DIMMING OUTER MIRROR

Purpose

  • The auto-dimming rearview mirror and the auto-dimming outer mirrors prevent the driver from being blinded by light from vehicles at the rear.

Function

  • The auto-dimming rearview mirror changes the reflection rate of the auto-dimming rearview mirror and the auto-dimming outer mirrors between 7% and 85% according to the level of the surrounding light and the glare level from vehicles at the rear.

NOTE:

  • The reflection rate of the auto-dimming rearview mirror is fixed at 50% or more when the selector lever (AT)/shift lever knob (MT) is shifted to the R position (AT/MT).

Glare level detection function
  • The auto-dimming rearview mirror detects the level of the surrounding light and glare from vehicles at the rear using the light sensor.

Home link function
  • A gate of a house or garage, or gate lamp can be operated remotely by operating the home link button built into the auto-dimming rearview mirror.

    NOTE:

    • When two or more home link buttons are pressed simultaneously, the home link button with the smallest number is operated first.

  • The frequency (remote controller information) for operating each gate of the house or gate lamp can be stored to the three home link buttons built into the auto-dimming rearview mirror.

  • The stored information is not cleared even if the battery power is disconnected.

  • All the stored information can be cleared by pressing and holding home link buttons 1 and 3 simultaneously for 10 s or more.

    NOTE:

    • If the learned information is cleared, the auto-dimming rearview mirror flashes the home link button indicator for approx. 10 s.
