WASHER FLUID LEVEL WARNING SYSTEM

Outline

• The washer fluid level warning system informs the driver that the washer fluid level in the washer tank is low.

Function

• The BCM turns the low washer fluid level warning light on based on the signal from the washer fluid-level sensor.

• For vehicles with the center display, a warning message is indicated in the center display when the low washer fluid level warning light turns on. For the message content and verification method, refer to the [CENTER DISPLAY]. (See CENTER DISPLAY [WITH CENTER DISPLAY].)

Operation

1. When the washer fluid level in the washer tank decreases, the BCM detects (1) a washer fluid-level sensor on signal.

2. The BCM sends (2) a low washer fluid level warning light on request signal to the instrument cluster via CAN communication based on the washer fluid-level sensor on signal.

3. The instrument cluster turns the transistor on (3) based on the low washer fluid level warning light on request signal.

4. When the transistor turns on, a ground circuit with the low washer fluid level warning light is established, and the low washer fluid level warning light turns on (4).
