ROD ANTENNA [WITH CENTER DISPLAY]
Purpose, Function
Converts radio broadcast waves to electric signals and sends the signals to the tuner and amplifier unit (TAU).
Construction
The rod antenna consists of the following parts.
The antenna rod converts the received radio station signal to an electrical signal.
The antenna base is integrated with the antenna amplifier which amplifies the electric signal.
Operation
The TAU supplies (1) power to the antenna amplifier in the rod antenna.
The rod antenna converts (2) the received radio waves of a radio broadcast to an electric signal.
The rod antenna amplifies the converted electric signal using the antenna amplifier and sends (3) the signal to the TAU.
