SD CARD [WITH CENTER DISPLAY]

Purpose

  • The SD card stores map information used by the car navigation system.

NOTE:

  • The car navigation system is available by inserting the SD card into the auxiliary jack/USB port/SD card slot hub.

  • The auxiliary jack/USB port/SD card slot hub can only read map information on the SD card. Music and image information stored on an SD card cannot be read.

Function

VIN information store function
  • The SD card stores VIN information for the vehicle which is used by the SD card, and the SD card can only be used on the vehicle in which the VIN information has been stored.

NOTE:

  • If an SD card is inserted into the auxiliary jack/USB port/SD card slot hub of the vehicle which contains information other than the VIN information stored in the SD card, "Invalid SD Card" is displayed in the center display.

  • The VIN information stored in the SD card cannot be deleted or over-written.

  • When any of the following conditions is met, the VIN information of the vehicle is stored in the SD card.

    • Vehicle is driven approx. 100 km {62.1 mile} after inserting new SD card into auxiliary jack/USB port/SD card slot hub

    • While traveled distance is less than approx. 100 km {62.1 mile} after inserting new SD card into auxiliary jack/USB port/SD card slot hub, SD card is inserted into auxiliary jack/USB port/SD card slot hub of another vehicle and ignition is switched to ACC or ON (engine off or on)

Construction

  • A lock mechanism for inhibiting data from being read/written to the SD card is integrated.

NOTE:

  • If the SD card is inserted into the auxiliary jack/USB port/SD card slot hub with the SD card lock tab locked, the car navigation system will not launch. Before inserting the SD card into the auxiliary jack/USB port/SD card slot hub, unlock the lock tab and insert the SD card.
