MAIN FUSE

Purpose

  • If electric current of the specified value or more flows, the main fuse blows due to heat generation to protect the systems and parts downstream of the main fuse.

Function

  • If electric current of the specified value or more flows, the main fuse blows due to heat generation.

Construction

  • The main fuse is located at the battery positive terminal.

Operation

1. If electric current of the specified value or more flows, the main fuse blows due to heat generation (1).

NOTE:

  • The time until a fuse blows depends on the amount of electrical current.

2. If the main fuse blows, electric current flowing to each part downstream of the main fuse is interrupted (2).

  • Not applicable
