DTC B1206:00/B143A:00/U2107:00 [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)]

System malfunction location

  • B1206:00:SAS control module operation (deployment) (fuel cut signal output)

  • B143A:00:SAS control module operation (collision detection) signal output

  • U2107:00:SAS control module operation (deployment) signal output

Detection condition

WARNING:

  • Detection conditions are for understanding the DTC outline before performing an inspection. Performing an inspection according to only the detection conditions may cause injury due to an operating error, or damage the system. When performing an inspection, always follow the inspection procedure.

  • SAS control module operates (deploys) (air bag module or pre-tensioner seat belt)

VERIFY VEHICLE COLLISION
  • Explain to the customer that the vehicle was hit.

  • Has the vehicle been hit?

Yes

  • Replace the SAS control module. (See SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY THAT REPAIRS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED
  • Reconnect all the disconnected connectors.

  • Reconnect the disconnected negative battery cable.

    (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

  • Clear the DTC for the SAS control module using the M-MDS.

    (See CLEARING DTC [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)].)

  • Perform the DTC inspection for the rSAS control module using the M-MDS.

    (See DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)].)

  • Is DTC B143A:00 displayed?

Yes

Repeat the inspection from Step 1.

  • If the malfunction recurs, replace the rSAS control module, then go to the next step.

    (See SAS CONTROL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

No

Go to the next step.

VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED
  • Are any other DTCs displayed?

Yes

Repair the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting.

(See DTC TABLE [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)].)

No

DTC troubleshooting completed.
