DOOR MODULE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the door trim. (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the pressure sensor. (See PRESSURE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].)

NOTE:

  • After removing the door trim, temporarily secure the inner handle using the screws so that the procedure is performed smoothly.

4. Remove the screws and fastener.

CAUTION:

  • If the protector part of the door module panel does not come out easily from the door inner panel, pulling the door module panel forcibly may cause it to deform. Remove the door module panel while gradually removing the adhered protector part.

5. Move the door module panel in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and pull the door module panel pin out of the door inner panel.

6. Remove the wiring harness clip and set the door wiring harness aside.

NOTE:

  • The clip removal is easier if the work is performed from the backside of the door module panel.

7. Remove the door module panel.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
