DOOR LATCH AND LOCK ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Driver's Side

1. Fully close the door glass.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the following parts:
a. Door trim (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
b. Door module panel (See DOOR MODULE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
c. Door key cylinder (See DOOR KEY CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
d. Inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Disconnect the keyless antenna connector. (with advanced keyless entry system)

5. While pressing the tabs of the clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the connector tabs from the outer handle bracket. (with advanced keyless entry system)

6. While pressing the tabs of the clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the clip tabs from the body. (with advanced keyless entry system)

7. Disconnect the door latch and lock actuator connector.

8. Remove the door lock knob cable and inner handle cable from the clip.

9. Remove the screw.

10. While pressing the tabs of the sub-link joint in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press the sub-link joint in the direction of arrow (2) to detach it from the body.

11. While pressing the tabs of the sub-link joint in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press the sub-link joint in the direction of arrow (2) to detach it from the body.

12. Move the sub-link joint in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach the sub-link joint from the door latch and lock actuator.

13. Remove the sub-link joint.
14. Remove the screws.

15. Tilt the door latch and lock actuator in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and lift it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the hook of the door latch and lock actuator.

16. Move the door latch and lock actuator down in the direction of arrow shown in the figure to remove the rod from the rod holder.

17. Remove the door latch and lock actuator.
18. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Passenger's Side

1. Fully close the door glass.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Remove the following parts:
a. Door trim (See DOOR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
b. Door module panel (See DOOR MODULE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
c. Inner handle (See INNER HANDLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
4. Disconnect the keyless antenna connector. (with advanced keyless entry system)

5. While pressing the tabs of the clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the connector tabs from the outer handle bracket. (with advanced keyless entry system)

6. While pressing the tabs of the clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the clip tabs from the body. (with advanced keyless entry system)

7. Disconnect the door latch and lock actuator connector.

8. Remove the door lock knob cable and inner handle cable from the clip.

9. Remove the screws.

10. Tilt the door latch and lock actuator in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and lift it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the hook of the door latch and lock actuator.

11. Move the door latch and lock actuator down in the direction of arrow shown in the figure to remove the rod from the rod holder.

12. Remove the door latch and lock actuator.
13. Install in the reverse order of removal.
