METER HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Install the following parts:
a. Passenger-side scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
b. Passenger-side front side trim (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
c. Passenger-side A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
d. Passenger-side lower panel (See PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
e. Center panel No.2 (See CENTER PANEL No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Lower the steering wheel to the bottommost position.
4. To prevent scratches or damage to the A-pillar trim, center panel No.1 and the driver-side lower panel, apply protective tape to the position shown in the figure.

5. To prevent damage to the upper column cover, spread a cloth at the position shown in the figure.
6. Move the meter hood in the order of arrows (1), (2) and (3) shown in the figure and detach the clips and hooks from the dashboard.

7. Remove the meter hood.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.
