FRESH-AIR DUCT [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Purpose, Function

  • The fresh-air duct introduces air outside the engine compartment to the intake system of the engine.

  • By introducing air of a lower temperature than that of in the engine compartment, the intake airflow amount is increased and the charging efficiency is enhanced. As a result, more stable combustion is assured.

Construction

  • The fresh-air duct is located on the air cleaner.
