CATCH TANK [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Purpose, Function

  • The catch tank suppresses pulsation occurring when evaporative gas is inducted into the intake manifold.

Construction

  • The catch tank is located on the intake manifold.

Operation

  • When evaporative gas flows from the charcoal canister to the purge solenoid valve, pulsation is suppressed by passing the evaporative gas through the hollowing of the catch tank
