TRANSMISSION RANGE (TR) SWITCH
Purpose/Function
The transmission range (TR) switch detects the position of the selector lever and sends information on which range is selected in the automatic transmission to the TCM.
Its functions are as follows:
Enables engine starting only in P or N positions
Used as shifting control signals

The manual shaft penetrates the TR switch which is installed to the transmission case.
The TR switch includes a starter circuit and position circuit.
When the selector lever is operated, the TR switch swiches internal circuits according to the manual shaft rotetion
