SYMPTOM TROUBLESHOOTING ITEM TABLE [SECURITY AND LOCKS]

  • Verify the malfunctioning symptom and perform malfunction diagnosis according to the applicable item.

NOTE:

  • If a malfunction, such as the door lock does not operate, the fuel filler lid lock does not operate, the advanced keyless entry system does not operate, or the lock/unlock operation cannot be performed using the remote transmitter, does not recur, refer to the [DOOR LOCK SYSTEM OPERATION RECORD] for new vehicle instruction and verify that the content stated by the customer and the content of the door lock system operation record match.

Malfunction symptom

Description

DOOR LOCK DOES NOT OPERATE

  • Door cannot be locked/unlocked using the door key cylinder.

  • Door cannot be locked/unlocked using the driver's door lock knob.

FUEL-FILLER LID LOCK DOES NOT OPERATE

(See FUEL-FILLER LID LOCK DOES NOT OPERATE [SECURITY AND LOCKS].)

  • Fuel-filler lid cannot be locked/unlocked using the door key cylinder.

  • Fuel-filler lid cannot be locked/unlocked using the driver's door lock knob.

ADVANCED KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM DOES NOT OPERATE

  • Door or fuel-filler lid cannot be locked/unlocked using request switch

  • Trunk lid does not open even if trunk lid opener switch is pressed

  • Door or fuel-filler lid cannot be locked/unlocked using remote transmitter

  • Trunk lid does not open even if using remote transmitter

LOCK/UNLOCK OPERATION NOT POSSIBLE USING REMOTE TRANSMITTER

  • Door or fuel-filler lid cannot be locked/unlocked using remote transmitter

  • Trunk lid does not open even if using remote transmitter

ANSWER-BACK BUZZER DOES NOT SOUND

The keyless beeper does not sound when door lock/unlock operation is performed using the remote transmitter button.

PUSH BUTTON START SYSTEM DOES NOT OPERATE

When the push button start is pressed, the ignition cannot be switched to ACC or ON (engine off).

STEERING LOCK FUNCTION DOES NOT OPERATE

Switch the ignition from ON (engine off or on) to OFF and do not lock the steering when opening/closing the door.
