SEAT BACK TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

CAUTION:

  • The elasticity of the nets (seat back side and seat cushion side) may decrease if exposed to direct sunlight (UV rays). Do not remove/install the seat back trim and disassemble/assemble the seats in an outdoor environment under direct sunlight (UV rays).

Standard type

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Seat (See SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
b. Seat side cover (See SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
c. Buckle (See BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
d. Seat back component (See SEAT BACK COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the screws.

4. Remove the seat belt cover.
5. Move hook A in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and detach it from hook B.

6. Unzip the zippers.

7. Peel off the surface fastener shown in the figure.
8. Pull out the pin in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure.

9. Move the remover tool in the direction of arrows (2) shown in the figure, pull the clip in the direction of arrow (3) with the tabs pressed, and remove the side air bag module securing belt from the seat back frame.
10. Move the seat back trim hooks in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and detach them from the seat back net.

11. Peel off the seat back trim.

12. Move the seat back pad in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.
13. Take the plastic plates of the seat back trim off the seat back pad.

14. Pull the seat back trim out toward the front of the seat.

15. Move the seat back trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the seat frame.

16. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Sports type (RECARO)

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Seat (See SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
b. Seat side cover (See SEAT SIDE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
c. Buckle (See BUCKLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
d. Seat back component (See SEAT BACK COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the screws.

4. Remove the seat belt cover.
5. Move hook A in the order of arrows (1) and (2) shown in the figure and detach it from hook B.

6. Unzip the zippers.

7. Peel off the surface fastener shown in the figure.
8. Pull out the pin in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure.

9. Move the remover tool in the direction of arrows (2) shown in the figure, pull the clip in the direction of arrow (3) with the tabs pressed, and remove the side air bag module securing belt from the seat back frame.
10. Take the plastic plates of the seat back trim off the seat back pad.

11. Pull the seat back trim out toward the front of the seat.

12. Move the seat back trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

13. Move the seat back trim in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it from the seat back frame.

14. Install in the reverse order of removal.
