HOOD LATCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL.) (See FRONT BUMPER INSTALLATION.)
3. While pressing the tabs of the clip in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, press it in the direction of arrow (2) to detach the connector tabs from the body.

4. Remove the connector antenna from the body.
5. Disconnect the connector.
6. Disconnect the hood release cable.

7. Remove the bolts.
8. Remove the hood latch. (See Hood latch Installation Note.)
9. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Hood latch Installation Note

  • Refer to [HOOD ADJUSTMENT] and adjust the hood latch so that the height difference and gap of the hood is within the specification. (See HOOD ADJUSTMENT.)
