A-PILLAR GARNISH REMOVAL

1. Open the convertible top.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
3. Open the door.
4. Remove the following parts:
a. A-pillar trim (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
b. Female wedge (See FEMALE WEDGE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
c. Front header trim (See FRONT HEADER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
d. Windshield garnish (See WINDSHIELD GARNISH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
5. Insert a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver into the position shown in the figure, rotate it in the direction of the arrow and detach A-pillar garnish clip.

6. While lifting up the A-pillar garnish in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure, move it in the direction of arrows (2) and (3), and detach the clip from the A-pillar garnish.

7. Move the A-pillar garnish in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it.

8. Remove the clips remaining on the body.
