FLOOR COVERING REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

Floor Covering No.1

Driver-side
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Selector lever knob (AT) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
b. Shift lever knob (MT)
c. Shift panel component (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
d. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
e. Parking brake lever boot panel (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER BOOT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
f. Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
g. Front console panel (See FRONT CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
h. Front console component (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
i. Driver-side seat (See SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
j. Driver-side scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
k. Driver-side tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
l. Driver-side seat belt lower anchor installation bolt (without lap pre-tensioner seat belts) (See SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
m. Driver-side lap pre-tensioner lower anchor cover (with lap pre-tensioner seat belts) (See SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
n. Driver-side lap pre-tensioner lower anchor installation bolt (with lap pre-tensioner seat belts) (See SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
o. Accelerator pedal (See ACCELERATOR PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0].)
3. Remove the harness clip.

4. Remove the fasteners.

5. Remove the fasteners.

6. Remove the fasteners.

7. Partially peel back the floor covering No.2.
8. Take the floor covering No.1 off from the driver-side door opening.
9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Passenger-side
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the following parts:
a. Selector lever knob (AT) (See AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SHIFT MECHANISM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
b. Shift lever knob (MT)
c. Shift panel component (See SHIFT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
d. Upper panel (See UPPER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
e. Parking brake lever boot panel (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER BOOT PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
f. Rear console (See REAR CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
g. Front console panel (See FRONT CONSOLE PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
h. Front console component (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
i. Passenger-side seat (See SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
j. Passenger-side scuff plate (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
k. Passenger-side tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
l. Passenger-side seat belt lower anchor installation bolt (without lap pre-tensioner seat belts) (See SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
m. Passenger-side lap pre-tensioner lower anchor cover (with lap pre-tensioner seat belts) (See SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
n. Passenger-side lap pre-tensioner lower anchor installation bolt (with lap pre-tensioner seat belts) (See SEAT BELT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
o. Front cup holder bracket (See FRONT CUP HOLDER BRACKET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the fasteners.

4. Remove the fasteners.

5. Remove the fasteners.

6. Partially peel back the floor covering No.2.
7. Take the floor covering No.1 off from the passenger-side door opening.
8. Install in the reverse order of removal.

Floor Covering No.2

Driver-side
1. Remove the driver-side scuff plate. (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Remove the driver-side tire house trim. (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the fasteners.

4. Remove the fasteners.

5. Remove the floor covering No.2.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
Passenger-side
1. Remove the passenger-side scuff plate. (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
2. Remove the passenger-side tire house trim. (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Remove the fasteners.

4. Remove the fasteners.

5. Remove the floor covering No.2.
6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
