WIPER ARM AND BLADE ADJUSTMENT

1. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
2. Operate the wiper at low speed.
3. Turn off the wiper switch during wiper low operation, and stop the wiper motor mid-way.
4. Verify that the wipers stop at the park position as a result of the auto-stop operating.
5. Remove the wiper arm. (See WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
6. Install the wiper arm to the serrated connecting part, align the wiper arm and blade end with the hollowed marks in the ceramic coating while sliding the wiper arm onto the grooves of the serrated connecting part one by one, and temporarily tighten the nut.

NOTE:

  • If the hollowed marks in the ceramic coating cannot be located, adjust the wiper blade end to the area shown in the figure and temporarily tighten the nut.

  • If the wiper arm and blade has not been installed correctly to the area shown in the figure, repeat the adjustment procedure.

  • If the wiper arm and blade is installed correctly to the area shown in the figure, tighten the nut completely.

7. Install the wiper arm. (See WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
