COOLING SYSTEM [SKYACTIV-G 2.0]

Outline

  • The radiator has been scaled down and installed upright to achieve a short overhang.

  • The following have been adopted to improve cooling efficiency.

    • Air seal cowl to guide efficient cool air flow to the radiator

    • Flaps to increase cooling efficiency from medium to high speed range

    • Engine coolant passage in cylinder block and cylinder head has been changed

    • Improved shape of engine coolant passage to reduce engine coolant passage resistance

    • Shroud impeller is adopted to water pump impeller to improve pump efficiency

  • Piping layout of hoses has been optimized to achieve weight reduction.
