SUPPLIER IDENTIFICATION PROCEDURE [AUDIO UNIT]
NOTE:
The supplier varies depending on the units. When asking the supplier (service center) for repair or replacement, identify the supplier and fill in the Audio Repair Order Form using the following procedures.
Identification With The Label
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
2. Remove the following parts:a. Scuff plate (passenger's side) (see SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)b. Front side trim (passenger's side) (see FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)c. A-pillar trim (passenger's side) (see A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)d. Passenger-side lower panel (see PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)e. Center panel No.2 (see CENTER PANEL No.2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)f. Meter hood (see METER HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)g. Audio unit (see AUDIO UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
3. Verify the supplier name by referring to the label attached to the unit.
Verify Using The Diagnostic Assist Function
1. Switch the ignition to ACC or ON (engine off or on).
2. While pressing the POWER/VOLUME button, press Preset button 5 for 3 s or more.
3. Identify the supplier code by referring to the display.
